Dan and Christa in DC

We had our friends Dan and Christa visit us this past weekend. (They are the ones we went to visit in Japan last March). They are now living back home in Ohio. We had a fun weekend touring the city and showing them our favorite spots. It was Dan's first trip to DC and Christa hadn't been to the city since high school, so we tried to hit the highlights. We had to bundle up because it was really cold this weekend. The national Christmas tree had been lit this past Thursday and we went to see it and all the other state trees on Friday night. When we visited the White House we saw these crazy protestors marching around screaming "Live by the Bomb, Die by the Bomb!" They were pretty scary as you can see:

We still owe them a few more weekend tours for all the places they took us the week we were in Japan with them. :) Here are some more of the pictures we took over the weekend:
