Weekend Getaway

This past Friday, Todd and I decided to get away for the night and went out west to Middleburg, Virginia and stayed in a bed and breakfast. It was wonderful. Just getting out of the city into the countryside felt so relaxing! The B&B was very fun and the hosts were awesome. They made us dinner reservations at a local restaurant and planned out an itinerary for us on Saturday. Our breakfast was delicious. After we packed up, we headed down the road to a couple towns from the 17 and 1800's...Waterford and Brunswick. One shop we stopped in had a room marked private with a curtain, when we walked past this is who peeked out:

They are white boxers. The owner said you don't see them much because the breeders usually kill them to weed out the white haired ones from the gene pool! They are usually blind and/or deaf. But these two were perfect! I love boxers and one day when we can afford a yard I want one of these.

We ended up in Harper's Ferry, Maryland which is an old Civil War town. We saw some demonstrations and just walked around the town. It was a gorgeous weekend. We ran into some friends out there and had dinner together. We came home Saturday night feeling very relaxed and refreshed!
